April 2023 Release Notes

Overview: April's release, Braid 2.1.25, focused on supporting mixed RGB and 8-bit images, interleaved cine studies, and automated splitting of ultrasound series. We also boosted the performance of CT and MR scans and refined error handling for patient sharing.

What’s New

  • There is now support for mixed rgb and 8 bits images.
  • There is now support for interleaved cine studies, and tech sheets within the series.
  • The ultrasound series are also now automatically split into the tech sheet, the cine loops, and main ultrasound.

Bug Fixes

  • We have improved loading performance for both CT and MRs (a 10x-20x speed up), still lossless with no quality loss. All images now load as fast as an x-ray would. There is support for any image size (16 bits grayscale still requires the power of 2 images).
  • With a newly improved fast path, all images are available with the first frame.
  • There is now better error handling for patient sharing, preventing the QR code from being generated for invalid users.
